Unpackaging God

We believe God can do all things yet when he steps out of the box, we begin to question if it’s truly him.

If I could go deeper, we turn our back on what we see because it doesn’t look like anything we’ve been taught or seen before. We’ve been conditioned to believe that nothing extraordinary can happen. There must be a cause and effect for everything.

It’s always an “IF and THEN” never a just because.

If I work hard then

If I trust then

If I believe then

I wonder what would happen if we let God be God and we simply followed where he led.

Not trying to figure out where we were going, how we would get there, or even how the walk looked, just simply followed.

My prayer is that I’ll never be so stuck in tradition, ritual, or monotony that I miss out on something profound.

He is so complex that I am beginning to recognize the fight that takes place between my mind wanting to categorize him and also realizing in the spirit that he simply cannot be.

He is.

The more I read the bible continuously the more I have to step away and reshape the image of him I’ve created.

It’s astonishing to see that who I’ve been walking with, I truly never understood.

He is so simple yet so complex.

The FULLNESS of who he is…Man I simply don’t know how to end this.
